Nailing down what actually matters when designing your website and marketing is pretty tough. There are a million opinions but, in reality, there are core fundamentals that change very little. Forms Baby! – If you aren’t capturing your audience with forms forms forms then you’re losing out. Whether it’s a last second newsletter pop up to get some information about a visitor as they exit or an instant quote form you need them. Capture your visitors!
Speed Baby! – Don’t lose 70% of your visitors because your website loads too slow. Mobile visitors, especially, are sensitive to load time. Even if the visitor sticks around after 7 seconds or more of loading do you really think they will feel like browsing around your website any further after the delay?
C.O.N.V.E.R.T – The rules of converting visitors into customers. To simplify it you need to have a landing page that creates a call to action or reason to move act on what you are selling. Original – Normally I would say this is overrated but…. not anymore. Cut the generic look and make sure your website, while still following fundemental rules of marketing, is not generic. Please! Don’t crap out a wizard website created with WIX or some crap like that because it won’t engage or connect with your visitor. Don’t use generic stock photo’s because they’re creepy and insincere. Pictures? Take them with your phone and make them about your business. Not a picture of a model glad handing another model with a great big…. creepy … smile.
